Shawn Duncan is the inaugural Vice President of Field Hospitality Network/Advanced Convention Services (HN/ACS) and Field Performance Strategy and Enablement at Cox Communications. The role, which was created in 2023 to support the rapid growth of Cox Business and Hospitality Network/Convention Services, oversees all aspects of HN/ACS field operations, including strategy and execution, and is responsible for improving the customer experience and internet satisfaction. In this role, Shawn also has responsibility for field operations performance and enablement strategy and execution for Cox in its US based markets. 


Prior to his current role, Shawn served as VP of Field and Maintenance Operations for Cox Communications’ Southwest Region for eight years. In the role, he was responsible for field operations in Arizona and Nevada for Cox Residential, Cox Business and Cox Hospitality Network customers, including installation, service and network maintenance. A 30-year Cox veteran, Shawn began his career in the company as a field technician and has held numerous leadership roles throughout his tenure.


Shawn received the Leader of Leaders Award for servant leadership in the Cox Arizona Promising Leaders Program and authored the 18-year “Taking on Me” professional development program. The programs has positively impacted more than 800 Cox employees in Arizona, Las Vegas, and across Cox and with partner organizations, including ASU, UNLV, GCU, WICT and WBEC. 


He is an advisor on industry boards for SCTE and WICT and serves as Executive Sponsor for Cox’s veterans’ Employee Resource Group and Cox’s Southwest Region Diversity Council - Supplier Pillar. In 2019, Shawn was inducted into the Southwest Cable Communications Association’s Pioneer Hall of Fame in recognition of his contributions to the cable and broadband industry.


Shawn is chairman for The Salvation Army of Metro Phoenix and previously held board leadership positions with the Boys and Girls Club Boards in Phoenix and Southern Nevada. He previously served in leadership roles on the National Board of StandUp for Kids.


Shawn earned an executive MBA in International Business from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a B.S. from Western International University.
